Terms of Use

These Terms apply to the Rock Identifier mobile applications and website (together, the “Service”) provided by Glipo (“we,” “us,” or the “Service Provider”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the rules of the store or payment platform used for a purchase.
Service Scope and Acceptable Use
Rock Identifier provides AI-assisted visual assessments of rocks, minerals, crystals, and possible fossils, together with evidence summaries, lookalike checks, formation context, and collection tools. Use the Service only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to submit.
You must not automate or overload the Service, probe or bypass security or quota controls, submit malicious or unlawful content, impersonate another user, interfere with provider operations, or reverse engineer the Service except where non-waivable law permits it.
The web companion may provide a limited guest allowance and an additional member allowance after sign-in. Clearing cookies, creating duplicate accounts, replaying requests, or otherwise evading quotas is prohibited. Access is determined by the authoritative server response, not by a checkout success screen or a client-side Premium flag.
Photo-Only Identification Disclaimer
All results are probabilistic, informational visual assessments. A photo cannot reliably establish exact composition, geological age, provenance, authenticity, toxicity, radioactivity, or market value. Results are not laboratory analysis, professional geological advice, safety certification, environmental guidance, or an appraisal.
Do not taste or lick specimens, inhale dust, handle potentially toxic, radioactive, fibrous, or sharp material without appropriate precautions, or perform destructive acid or scratch tests without proper knowledge. Verify important decisions with a qualified professional or laboratory.
Lighting, focus, angle, weathering, surface treatment, scale, and hidden structure can materially affect a result. You are responsible for evaluating the output and any suggested non-destructive follow-up checks.
AI-Generated Content and Availability
The Service uses a protected AI processing chain to generate requested results. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or unsuitable for your use. Models, providers, limits, and features may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or a particular identification.
You retain rights you have in submitted photos and grant us the limited permission needed to transmit and process them for the requested feature, security, and support purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
Accounts and Security
You are responsible for protecting access to your sign-in provider and device. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized account use. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, comply with law, or secure the Service.
The account center can sign out the current device, revoke other sessions, and request email-confirmed deletion. Account deletion is fail-closed: renewing or unverifiable subscriptions must be safely handled before destructive deletion.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Premium features may be offered through Apple, Google Play, or Paddle. Prices, taxes, billing interval, trial terms, renewal, and cancellation are shown by the purchase platform and may vary by region. Paddle acts as merchant of record for web purchases. Subscriptions normally renew until canceled under the terms shown at purchase.
Manage billing through the source where you purchased:
- Paddle buyers use Paddle's hosted customer portal for invoices, payment method, plan, and cancellation controls.
- App Store buyers manage the subscription through Apple.
- Google Play buyers manage the subscription through Google Play.
A completed web checkout is pending confirmation until verified provider state reaches the authoritative entitlement service. Cancellation scheduled for the end of a billing period may leave Premium access active until that date while preventing another renewal.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Requesting account deletion does not create a refund. Refund requests and payment disputes are handled under the rules of the purchase platform and applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The Service, its software, design, branding, and related materials remain the property of Glipo or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or commercially exploit protected parts of the Service except as permitted by law.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Glipo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or reliance-based loss arising from an AI result, specimen handling, service interruption, or data loss. Rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Changes and Governing Law
We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of- law rules, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
