How we publish

Editorial and Review Policy

How Rock Identifier's product claims, geological explanations, authorship, sources, corrections, and AI-assisted content are reviewed and disclosed.

Effective and last reviewed: August 11, 2026

Scope and purpose

This policy covers product pages, identification guidance, methodology documentation, blog articles, translations, and structured data published on rockidentifier.glipo.org. Content is educational and product-supporting; it does not provide specimen certification, laboratory analysis, safety clearance, legal advice, or appraisal.

Source hierarchy

Product behavior is checked against the current application, first-party platform behavior, privacy terms, billing configuration, and official App Store record. Geological explanations prioritize government geological organizations, museums, universities, professional institutes, and primary technical literature. Commercial or community sources may illustrate user questions but do not override stronger evidence.

  • Every numerical product claim must have a current first-party record or be removed.
  • Model confidence is never described as laboratory accuracy or certainty.
  • Physical-test guidance must state safety and specimen-damage limitations.
  • Important external claims should link to a named source that readers can inspect.

Authorship and specialist review

Pages credited to the Glipo Editorial Team are maintained by the product team and are not represented as the work of a geologist unless a real specialist is named. A specialist-review label may be used only when the reviewer has approved the applicable version and we can disclose the reviewer's name, relevant qualification, scope, and date.

AI-assisted drafting

AI tools may assist with outlining, translation, or draft language. Publication still requires human review for product consistency, source support, safety framing, duplicated text, unsupported certainty, and locale quality. AI output is not treated as a source. Citations must lead to an external source or an identified first-party product record.

Corrections and updates

Material errors are corrected without preserving a misleading claim for traffic. A page's modified date changes only for meaningful editorial revisions. Minor typography changes do not imply a new scientific review. Reports can be sent to support@glipo.com.tr with the URL, disputed text, and supporting source. We aim to acknowledge actionable reports within five business days; that target is not a guarantee of resolution time.

Commercial independence and safety

This site promotes the Rock Identifier product and links to its App Store listing. That commercial relationship is explicit. We do not fabricate ratings, testimonials, expert endorsements, download counts, benchmarks, or backlinks. Safety, authenticity, legal collection, and financial decisions must not rely on a photo-only result.
